Going Chemical Free

This year I have been working on my resolution toward making our home and bodies chemical free as much as possible. I used to be a bit lazy about this as my slogan, borrowed from our great yoga teacher and guru Dr Bali is "When you practice yoga, whatever enters your body will turn to nectar!"

Although I do believe, and live by this motto, I've come to realise that when you are careless, or are in doubt or hesitation about what you do allow to enter your body, then there becomes an imbalance and as a result the physical challenges occur. Lately I've been feeling that my skin has been dull looking, and that my energy has been low. I feel it is due to toxic overload. Moving home had me cleaning soooo much and breathing in all the chemicals from the toxic cleaning products left me with terrible migraine headaches and sinus issues.

This inspired me to fully detox my family home and diet, and so have been getting to work making natural skin and hair care products from all natural stuff like oil and seed butters, baking soda and essential oils. I feel proud and happy with what we have so far. Today I got busy in my kitchen and made these beauties shown in the pictures.
All natural deodorant, shaving cream, face cream and hair repair oil. They are smelling reaaaallly clean and fresh!! I might share the recipes......watch this space! 😉
Om Namaste Ashleigh xo
