True Power Comes From Within

Updated: Sep 19, 2019

In a world that demands so much of us from outwardly focused action, we fail to acknowledge where the seat of our true power really lies....within us. True power and success does not only exist in the results we achieve from our daily grind, our true power does not exist in being graded, recognised, praise, accepted or revered by others. Our true power does not lie in having someone else love us from the outside. It does not lie in our titles, how much money we have, or our status.

True power comes from alignment with your soul, and true success will come from following the guidance that speaks to you in often quiet, yet sometimes loud nudges from within. We tend to ignore that call because it speaks to us in the form of emotion, and through intuition, which is not considered tangible, or even real because it is not something we can see with our physical senses. Because of that we cannot rationalise them, we cannot measure them. They are considered relative, fickle, fleeting, even dreamy or an illusion.

The only way of actually measuring the influence of feeling and following that guidance comes from actually allowing the alignment first, then seeing the results that will eventually manifest physically into your experience as a result. This is your true power. This is your creativity. This is your guidance. This is what the Universal meaning of the Law of Karma really is. Knowing your power, using it with intention, and seeing the unfolding of experience that emerges as a result.

Accessing this power, and applying it in a deliberate intentional way can only come from going within first. Quietening down, slowing down, stopping, resting, moving within slowly, then more deeply is the way. Listening to your feelings, feeling them, understanding them and following their guidance is the way.

  • Practicing yoga asana can help you to do this.

  • Practicing meditation can help you to do this.

  • Pranayama can help you to do this.

  • Becoming a silent witness to thoughts, constantly tuning in, and adjusting what you are thinking about helps you do this.

  • Engaging emotionally, and reaching for the best feelings will help you to do this.

  • A true and unhindered cultivation of self awareness will help you to do this.

If you want to find your true purpose, your true source of recognition, your true self, stop looking for it outside, because this is false, temporary, fleeting, conditional, and the real illusion. Slow the heck down and go within. Try it! You can trust it, you can follow it, and you will see that it will not let you down, as long as you do it WITHOUT doubt, fear, judgement and even analysis. Do this with a complete and total surrender to faith over your fear, and you will never ever be lead astray. Here lies the true seat of your power.

This is the opposite of what we are taught to believe, and how we are conditioned to behave in our world, constantly looking outside of ourselves for the validation and sense of purpose we and longing for. No, the world will not tell you this, but the whisper of your Soul is always trying to. Listen to it.

Until next time, don't forget,

Be realistic, daydream often.
